Hello, WGBH Alumni!
The WGBH Media Library and Archives received an informational request describing a past program that may or may not be WGBH affiliated. If anyone has any information, please reach out by sending an e-mail to .
Here is the request:
“I grew up in Boston in the 70s & 80s and am trying to recall a program I used to come across as a kid on PBS (WGBH/Channel 2) that I loved watching but I do not believe it was a ‘children’s show’ per se.
I think it was a child psychology/development program. I want to say it would be on on Saturday mornings….. I remember the opening sequence that was animated. It started as a heartbeat line and would morph into a cell …. a zygote …a baby…a crawling toddler . . a walking child etc. and it had compelling, thoughtful theme music. Each episode felt like a documentary. I have been wracking my brain to remember and have combed the vault but with no luck.
Might you be able to help me figure out this smart and informative program?”
