My aunt Elinor Johnson passed away this month at the age of 101. She was an incredible woman. Her resume referred to some ties with wgbh. In 1958 she authored the Teachers Guide for a TV science series on WGBH in Boston and in 1962 co-authored and taught a science TV series called Neighborhood Explores 21” classroom on WGBH which was just down the hall from Julia Child’s cooking show. She had various articles published in educational and natural science journals as well as authored two books “The Plant Hunters” and “Outlook on Water”. She received many accolades for her work on conservation and science including Audubon’s Conservation Teacher of the Year in 1963 and was a member of the Natural Science Teachers Association, Mass Audubon Society and New England Wild Flowers Preservation Society. Can you find me any pictures or video of her time teaching? Thank you for your time. – Beth
