Years at WGBH: 1966-1969I began my TV career at WGBH-TV. Nobody knows this: My father Philip Manosky and Uncle William Osborne built the original tower on Great Blue Hill.
After WGBH I was asked by The American Program Bureau to set up a nationwide TV network on college campuses and develop a lower cost way to shoot and distribute video cassettes (we were the first such network).
I produced two series which were the subject of world press attention. Also, Sony Broadcast Division asked me if they could watch; ENG was the result. Associate Producer of The Mike Douglas Show was next.
Many of my fondest memories stem from working at Channel 2. When as Stage Manager for Elliot Norton, Otto Preminger sternly commanded, “Nobody puts powder on Otto Preminger’s head!”
