Two names missing on “The Honor Roll – In Memoriam”
THE FOUNDING OF CHANNEL 44 Ted Conant, son of Harvard President, and Jim Kelly- aide to Bobby Kennedy, were hired by Hartford Gunn to be the founding “staff” for the creation of Channel 44. Hartford then recruited me from NET Television, Inc., — the Ann Arbor based duplication and distribution center of the then NET — to join Ted and Jim at WGBH – in 1966. Jim died around 1980 and Ted died at age 95 in 2008.
